A bit too long and slow. I preferred "Away from her". Still, this man's determination to keep his ailing wife by his side is admirable. Rules and regs are all very fine but let common sense prevail. That about sums up why the law fails.

There are few movies that I enjoy any more, enough to watch again. I have watched this numerous times. And it is beautiful and touching each time. I have a short list of favorite movies -- Straight Story, A River Runs Through It, On Golden…
We watched this about a year ago, & enjoyed its simplicity.
I rarely watch movies more than once, but this one kept calling me back for a second time and so it was that we watched it again this week.
I still find the acting of the two…

I second everything Reiyos said. I also appreciated the writers including realistic detail of how the health and decreasing abilities affect the everyday life of older people, and yet the protagonist was not complaining, just pushing…

I shared in the older gentleman's struggle to deal w bureaucracy and was touched with his quest to cater to his wife's needs. I personally find rules & bureaucracy maddening when it is upheld simply because "it's how we do it", cookie…

Writer/director Michael McGowan is in no hurry as he allows this beautifully unembellished drama to unfold like a bittersweet love poem, his two leads sparking such onscreen chemistry as they head into their twilight years that at times it…

I watched it 3 times, to enjoy all the details. Beautiful true story. There is so much "Nature" in this film, farm country, forest life, building.

A simple, yet poignant tale about Alzheimer's and government regulations. At times sad and other times funny, this film doesn't try too hard to become bogged down by maudlin sentiments, but it does try some. The pacing and structure were,…

A beautiful true story of perseverance and love. Exquisitely acted. It shows the reality of caring for someone with Alzheimer's disease. I think they did a great job of exploring the difficult family dynamics that happen when well…

This is very slow paced, which I find restful. It is about relationships: husband/wife, neighbors, father/son and father/daughter. It is also about how people one would never expect to step up can come to our rescue--whether we want them…

In this day of non-commitments, especially in marriage, this film shows the beauty of "in sickness and in health, till death us do part". We need more films like this which show the spirit of life as we are called to live it.

Beautifully done. Also a testament to doing what's right and appropriate. Even if you buck the system. Just because you're 'compliant' (check boxed) doesn't mean you're secure.....

As of July 6, 2014, Still Mine has 275 holds waiting on the 29 copies KCLS has on hand. Why such demand? A beautiful story that is all true. The acting of both the lead actor and actress is fabulous. You will be inspired by their…

Not a bad movie. A bit slow moving and somewhat depressing though. In the end things turned out okay, so it wasn't a complete downer.

What a fine, true little film. I've never seen James Cromwell better. I hope many, many people find this beautiful quiet film.
