One of her better books. Easy read and thrilling ending. A girl gets invited to a bachelorette weekend that she hasn’t been close with the bride to be in 10 years. She decides to go and she realizes things at the house are not seeming…

Exasperating protagonist who lets everyone walk all over her, dysfunctional situation and unsavoury characters.

I really enjoyed this book and Ruth Ware's writing style. It kept me thoroughly engrossed in the story and trying to figure things out. Much better characters than in The Lying Game.

While the characters' motivations made little sense to me (so caught up in teenage drama from ten years ago!), I was invested enough to want to know what happened. Even though I also saw the ending coming. A quick popcorn thriller.

This book got me hooked, well written and kept you turning pages. One that you cannot put down. I am now exploring Ruths other titles.

I enjoyed the quick and easy read that this novel provided. That was about it, though. I usually like Ruth Ware’s writing much more, but given that this was her debut, I’m not surprised it didn’t capture my interest as her other novels…

Not scary at all, was so incredibly boring, honestly what is there to be afraid of that others are talking about? I have no clue. Protagonist was so utterly pathetic i was cringing nearly the whole read. Twist is so predictable my eyes…

For my enjoyment, there was too much introspection and dwelling on expired romance. I was overwhelmed by it. Based on what I've heard, I wonder if this might be akin to Rebecca, by Daphne duMaurier.

This book is a scary thriller that leaves you guessing until the end. So much fun! Just read it with the lights on...

I'm glad I sped read this book because the plot just didn't make sense and I would have hated to waste a lot of time when there are so many good books out there.

I was really hoping for a book with lots of suspense throughout, but it wasn’t. I had figured it out and wasn’t surprised with the ending. I just wanted more twists and shocking moments. I liked the story concept and it was a quick easy…

Hen party from hell: jealous bride-to-be, emotionally unstable bff of bride-to-be, stock gay man, and the hard-done-by main character. Kinda fun to read, but not as much as I'd seen it cracked up to be. An okay way to spend a hot summer…

It was a quick read holding the suspense until the very end. However I guessed who “done it” well before it was revealed and felt that it could have easily been 50 pages shorter as I got a little bored with the “I can’t remember” for pages…

I liked this book by Ruth Ware, it was written beautifully and I enjoyed reading it. In the book In the dark dark woods, the main idea was that the past always comes back to haunt you. In the book, Nora, the main character, is invited to…

A DARK, DARK WOOD is the first book I have read by lauded author, Ruth Ware. I enjoyed the story, but enjoyed Ware's writing style even more. Ware brings her characters to life and I found them interesting and realistic. I will …

I loved this book! The slow-burn suspense is what made it so enjoyable for me. I’m so glad I found Ruth Ware as an author, and I can’t wait to read more of her books.

If you like Ruth Ware, read Shari Lapena books, almost like they are same person under two different names. All of Ruth Ware's books are nicely satifsying

Funny enough, I had read this book before and only realized when I was about 1/3 of the way in. Despite being an interesting thriller, with an ending I didn’t necessarily see happen, I found this book to have some glaring concerns. Mainly,…

It was quite a slow book, however a good story. The ending comes to a pretty good conclusion, so I am satisfied with that.

Apparently I don’t have a high tolerance for works that create suspense merely by making the narrator withhold central facts, and where the protagonist willingly enters an uncomfortable situation rather than ask an obvious question or two.

Enjoyed this book. Not my favourite Ruth book (Turn of the Key) but still a good read.

Although it is predictable, It was still an enjoyable quick read. Ware is letting you solve the story. It is definitely not a horror but is a thriller.

I grabbed this book because I was in a rush and really did not care. I just wanted something to read. This novel is not what I would consider a horror, but more like psychological thriller. It was definitely different than the usual books…
