I liked this book. It provided some general rules and guidance on how to improve your house's appeal. The photos showing the houses before and after the improvements were helpful.

This was the first book I opened and read from Sunset and the second was Before & After Gardens. Both contain the same pictures of American homes. This book about "curb appeal" does nothing to stimulate my imagination for my own home. First of all, the book shows plants that are not useful for our tempertures. Palms and cactus would surely die here in southern Ontario. Furthermore, it offers little explanation on how to arrive at a plan for curb appeal. The book simply shows pictures of houses and their landscape...dull and boring at best.
