First there was Winnie the Pooh, and it has to be the illustrations by E.H. Shepard, NOT the Disney version. Remember being fascinated by the map of Pooh world.

This is a sweet, calming, almost preternaturally zen book. It entertains, amuses and educates on many levels for all ages. The illustrations are exquisite.
