This is a classic film. I have watched it more than a few times. It has parts that are hokey and a bit cheesy but there are some excellent songs in here. The setting filmed in Oahu and Kauai are fabulous. There are good elements of basic humour but perhaps unrefined. I like most of the characters and Miley's boss is really a piece of work. Angela Landsbury has a really annoying role but I don't think that was her fault. If you want to see what old Hawaii was like and you like Elvis rent this for fun.
