the Private series is good, but the plots are pretty much all the same, with names and locations changed. Not Patterson's best work in my opinion

If you're new to Patterson and want to start on a high, pick this.

The Private series uses a handful of co-authors and the same stable of core characters set in international locations to heighten the intrigue. Sometimes it works ok, (Private, #1 Suspect), sometimes its awful (Private India) and sometimes it cannot be out down, as in Private London.

I can only guess that the chemistry between writers is as variable as the weather but here with Mark Pearson Patterson gets it right. You will to put this down, you will not be disappointed and you will be surprised.

Trying Patterson for the first time? Start in London.

This was a fun read. It was fast-paced, and although it was totally unbelievable that was part of what made it fun

Confusing - too many characters. I ended up bored with the whole thing and didn't even finish.

The 4th in the private series is as
good as the 1st 3, not up to 5 stars
but enjoyable just the same.
Maybe less characters or plot
may have helped.

Found it disappointing and not up to the standard I expect from James Patterson.
