Great series set during the great depression in small town Texas. Women in a gardening club solve local issues

This series by Susan Wittig Albert is boring. The plot is very simple and there is so much detail about events that mean nothing (filler really). With much tighter editing, this could have been a decent short story.

Very enjoyable. Well developed characters. People you'd want to know.

So cozy it has recipes in the back even thought I honestly didn't remember anyone cooking or eating at any point (I checked...they do, but only in passing). This author is suitable for your grandma or 7-year-old to read.
