This book is extremely raw and gives a "real" indepth look into his background. He is a survivor on many levels, and has a very troubled soul. He found Islam while in prison, which is unfortunate. I will pray for this man, in hope, he will leave that religion. Because nothing good will come, if he stays. The book is a hard read with all the "ghetto" profanity, but worth the trouble. Mike Tyson, was a great boxer and would have retired on top if not for his sex, drug and alcohol addictions. As he ended his story, it sounds like he misses his old lifestyle and would like to return to the "streets." That's a pretty scary thought. Feel sad for his wife and children.

Keeping this as objective as possible - this is a really, really, REALLY disjointed autobiography. Would have done wonders with a better editor/co-writer. Minor events get pages worth of information; major events get a sentence, if that.

I really liked this read. It was interesting to learn of his childhood or lack thereof. His adult life with drugs and sex, marriages the works.

What a strange book. MT had a scary childhood in NYC and was robbing people instead of attending school as a youth. Things improved when he began training with Cus D'Amato and MT won several championship belts. But he never stayed out of trouble with drugs, fighting anybody who provoked him, and having sex (and children) with random women, despite calling himself a Christian and later a devout Muslim. He was also on many medications for his mental problems, and also kept being sent back to jail. Also he had a bad marriage and was robbed of hundreds of millions of dollars by Don King and his other handlers.
This book contains lots of ghetto swearing, fighting, boxing, having sex with 2 billion ladies. I doubt he will ever calm down, keep it in his pants, and learn to manage his own finances.
