This is a very important book. Every Canadian should read it and will, with Abley's engaging style, find it easy to do so. Every Canadian, whether a new immigrant or multi-generation of Anglo stock, needs to understand the racist attitudes (both overt and covert) and the policies they spawned because their impact lives on. We have a lot of work to do--now.
