At a hefty 600 pages, you'd think you were wading through War and Peace...Tony must have been buying ink and paper in bulk, but what this book really needs is some serious editing down. There's probably 100-125 pages of actual useful material, but the rest is just filler.

There are much more informative books out there, that get to the point and focus on key messages, sadly this overwritten, overweight doorstop isn't one of them.

I gave the book a chance, even more so after a quote Tony uses congratulating the reader on being a part of the "10%" who reads more than the first chapter of a non-fiction book.

Problem is ,this whole book is full of fluff - 100 pages in and all you've gotten from his simple " 7 step guide" is that you should save a certain percentage of your money. How is that a secret?

My Advice: if you really want to know what the steps are - skip to the back of the book and check out the checklist page. It'll save you a ton of time.

I couldn't get through this book. I tried, several times.

A book with "7 Simple Steps" in the title should not be over 600 pages.

This is not one of those, "How do I pay off my credit card" type books. There is some very, very savvy advice in here, financial and otherwise, though from a financial aspect, you would probably want to run these ideas through a certified financial planner first.

I hope that they do, it's a very popular book and the list is going to keep rising.
