Another fast paced gritty thriller from Stuart MacBride. Not as much dark humor as previous books but still enjoyable. You need to be able to handle the graphic descriptions to enjoy this ( and all ) his novels. Definitely worth it for fans.

They don't come any blacker than this! Dry, witty, clever. As long as you can take the graphic descriptions, the violence and the smells, this is a great read. The bad people are apalling! Stuart MacBride at his gory best.Ian Rankin's Saints of the Shadow Bible on steroids!I can't wait for the next one in the series.

If you're already a fan, don't hesitate to grab this. As we've come to expect from MacBride, you get great characters, a tight & intricate plot & laugh out loud dialogue.
Ash Henderson can't seem to catch a break but is offered a chance to redeem himself somewhat. First, he has to survive old enemies (the psycho Mrs. Kerrigan & Wee Free McFee) & figure out how to get that annoying ankle bracelet off.
Yes, there is graphic violence but if you enjoy black humour, this is for you.
