I had to quit after half of season seven. They're going to milk this stupid escaped murderer thing every bloody season aren't they. The William/Julia story line plays like a poorly written 1970s soap opera (sans cheating, sex and other philandering).

Just when you think William and Julia are going to get their act together -- BANG! Another cliffhanger. Great Series. FIVE STARS.

Murdoch Mysteries Season 7
Imagine, an entire season of this wonderful series in one case. (between two covers as it were). One could almost watch all of them one or two sessions. There’s hardly anything one could want in this series: the historical setting in at the end of the 19th century; the Canadian, specifically, Toronto location (an exotic one to some); the imaginative opening credits; the lush ladies costumes --- one could go on.
There’s the always impeccably dressed Detective Murdoch as played by Yannich Brisson. Cool, up on the most recent advances in science and technology, the Catholic detective who always blesses himself and who invariable closes his cases.
There’s Helen Joy who, plays Doctor Ogden, coroner, who is destined to be united with the good Detective.
Thomas Craig, seemingly always with a glass of Scotch at the ready, plays the crusty but competent Inspector who rules Police Station Number Four.
My favourite in Season 7: Episode 10: “Murdoch in Ragtime” for the music.
Most poignant: Episode 18 “The Death of Doctor Ogden”.
