This is a great book for someone who likes to spend time in the kitchen making finger foods. The meatball (vegan style) recipe looked interesting. Personally, I'm looking for ridiculously fast and easy stuff to prepare, so for now, I won't be using recipes from this book.

I have tried quite a few of the recipes and all have been a delightful treat. There is something for everyone truly! The photos are so rich and vibrant, they make me want to rush into the kitchen to try everything right away. There are a few ingredients you may have to head to Whole Foods or a specialty market for but it is definitely not the case for the majority of the recipes. All you need is some great produce and a well stocked pantry. Some favourites so far are the Corn Fritters wih Tomato Gravy. They are crisp, flavorful and the gravy will rock your world! You could eat it with a spoon. As a lover of all things dip, I tried the Brewpub Cauliflower Dip and Chips and fell in love. It is creamy, spicy and packed with flavour. The pita chips go great with it too! The baked Polenta Fries with avocado dip are simply addictive! They are healthy but you wouldn't know it. The Saurkreaut stuffed Seitan Coins are a bit more work but so worth it. My six year old son loved them too! Another favourite is the Muhumara pit-za Wedges. I made them and was craving them all week. The Muhummara is so bright and delicious, you will want to make a double batch. The Potato Puffs seemed so simple but they are sooooo good! I dare you to eat just one...it's not possible. And you have to try the Antipasta Tofu Stuffed Shells! I have always made stuffed shells and served them a certain way and never thought to try them like this. It's genius and they are jam packed with olives, sun dried tomatoes and basil and will be the hit of your next party.

If you have a sweet tooth, the Nutty Caramel Bites are the stuff of dreams! They have texture, sweetness (but not too much) and melt in your mouth chocolate so what's not to love?! The Vanilla Cream Tartlets will get oohs and ahhs from your guests or family for sure. The crust is perfectly easy and filled with the most scrumptious, luscious cream filling. We also made the Double Decadence Choclate Berries because they just sounded like something you needed to try. They are one of those desserts where you take a bite and instantly have to close your eyes. You can't even help it! You will always want strawberries to be served like this for then on.

I love that they include suggested menus of which will go together since sometimes I find that tricky. I also love that there are recipes that use up the unused parts of another. Like the potato skins insides go to making the potato puffs. Less waste is always great to me! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone and everyone. I am looking forward to trying even more from this wonderful book. Celine Steen and Tamasin Noyes have worked their magic into another great project and I can't what to see what they will do next.
