Blinded and scarred in a terrible accident, Antoinetta Scarletti made music that thrilled the world with its beauty and passion. Descended from a long line of psychics, Antoinetta has learned to rely on her other senses to "see" the world around her, but nothing could have prepared her for Byron.

He came to her, drawn by her music, and became her secret obsession. Others fear him, sensing that he is dangerous--a predator--but for Antoinetta he is her ultimate fantasy, her dream lover. I guess I can consider Dark Symphony a sequel to The Scarletti Curse, anyway I enjoyed the romance between Bryon--a powerful Carpathian-- and the blind human, Antoinetta Scarletti-- a direct descendant of the Scarlettis in The Scarletti Curse. But I loved the character of the rascally young Carpathian, Josef, and especially loved the recounting of the story of how Josef had so shocked both the Carpathian prince, Mikhail...and the powerful Gregori...with his Vampire Rap Song. Josef is one of my favorites among the younger Carpathians, for his great sense of humor...and mischief, but he did start to mature by the time he was seen again in Dark Wolf.

I really liked both the main characters.
Normally I'll like the characters but they will have some annoying little thing they do which drives me nuts. Not this time hooray!

Really enjoyed the story, Toni is a very strong character.

One of my favorites. The old carpathian novels are the best.
