From the author of the international best seller Go the F*** to Sleep comes a long-awaited sequel about the other great parental frustration: getting your little angel to eat something that even vaguely resembles a normal meal. Profane, loving, and deeply cathartic, You Have to F***ing Eat breaks the code of child-rearing silence, giving moms and dads new, old, grand- and expectant, a much-needed chance to laugh about a universal problem. A perfect gift book like the smash hit Go the F*** to Sleep (over 1.5 million copies sold worldwide!), You Have to F***ing Eat perfectly captures Mansbach's trademark humor, which is simultaneously affectionate and radically honest. You probably shouldn't read it to your kids.

I loved this book! It totally captured my feelings of caring, concern, frustration, inadequacy, and even panic over my beautiful daughter who, up until the age of six, wasn't just a picky eater, she would refuse to eat all but just a few bites, regardless of what she was offered. If you've "been there" as we were, don't mind the usage of the "f-word", and need a good laugh, you'll enjoy this adult book.

I was hoping for a little humor, but this was so poorly written it all fell flat. It rhymes, but is not rhythmic and came across as vulgar rather than funny. And I am a parent of picky eaters.

Please let me begin by stressing that although written in picture book form, this is ABSOLUTELY NOT a children's book. It is a hilarious book to help adults deal with the stress of a child who is a SEVERE picky eater. We had a child like this and no matter what advice was given by health professionals, child experts, other parents, and grandparents, she simply wouldn't eat. When I read this book I laughed so hard I was crying by the third page....it was such a clear depiction of our lives. If you are offended by the "F-word", this is not the book for you as it is used on every page (although appropriately so); and if you've never experienced the challenge of a feeding a child who wasn't interested in food, you may not see the incredible humor within the pages.
