Beautiful book and story - for readers including and other than ballet and dance lovers. Winner of the Coretta Scott King Illustrator Award, 2015.

Beautifully illustrated with a warm message. Highly recommended.

The message of the book is good, but for a subject so visual and powerfully kinetic as ballet, the book felt a bit static and blah.
