If you intend to sell these products (anything liquid or that contains water including butters) you must have a preservative to stop the growth of mold, bacteria etc. Bath salts with essential oils do not need one because the essential oils will act as a "natural" preservative.

Don't be fooled by the title. All of these so called natural products involve buying chemical preservatives - which defeats the entire purpose. You can find real natural beauty product formulas on-line that do not require chemicals to preserve - you make small quantities and keep in the refrigerator.
