Back Roads of Germany --- by --- Doring Kindersley Publishers This little book, with lots of colour photographs and route maps takes you on 24 drives through the back roads of Germany and each drive comes with its own map. There’s no Munich, no Frankfurt or Stuttgart in this book although it does take you to Berlin. What to see; where to eat (like you need someone what or where to eat in Germany --- it’s all good. There are churches, palaces, castles, caves, rivers and everything you could imagine. It gives you explicit driving instructions and it even tells you where to park the car. There are some areas not covered: the Saarland and southern Germany around Passau are two. But then you’ve got to draw the line somewhere: you can’t squeeze all of Germany into one book. There are lots of coloured to entice you and a large fold out map to help you put it all into a geographic perspective. A real appetitizer!
