A phenomenal picture book that explores grief in an honest, thoughtful way that will undoubtedly resonate with children. An all-time favorite.

A heart warming, true story about how one polar bear's death affected the other bear. Comforting story for children who are losing a loved one.

Inspired by a true story, this book is helpful for children dealing with the loss of a loved one.
It's very beautiful, but it will make you cry. The pictures are absolutely beautiful!

This is a beautiful story, but it makes you cry! It is a great book to read with kids to teach them about dealing with the loss of a loved one. It is inspired by two real polar bears who lived in New York City.

OMG this has got to be the saddest picture book I've ever read. Anything so simple that moves me to tears gets an automatic 5 stars even though the emotion was pain. Very well written, makes me empathize with any animal lovers (or people going through loss) with fresh eyes, compassion and appreciation for the depth of pain.

This is a gentle and reassuring picture book about death and the grieving process. It is a relatable story, one that is often needed to talk with children about their emotions after losing a friend or family member to a long-term illness.

There were growling days and laughing days and days that mixed them up. Sometimes Ida needed a moment alone. And sometimes Gus did too.
