The plot is cinematic and full of twists and turns that keep you in suspense until the protagonist gets to the next cliffhanger. A very clever twist on the "murder in a locked room" genre.

I read this after a glowing recommendation from a friend. I was disappointed that I didn't enjoy it as much as he did.

Found some of the parts seems to drag on , and the ending was rather disappointing in leaving so much to speculation after investing so much in getting through the book . found the heroine annoying so it was a bit difficult to root for her

Imogen Church 's performance as a narrator is excellent . I can still hear her deep voice in my head when I think about the book . She made its slow moments very bearable!

Fans of "Girl on the Train" will enjoy this second psychological thriller by Ruth Ware. Both novels feature an unreliable female narrator who witnesses something tradgic but even to themselves doubt if what they saw actually happened. This is a somewhat fast paced novel that will have the reader guessing "whodunit "as well as featuring plot twists and turns. Personally I preferred Wares' debut novel "In a Dark Dark Wood" of her two novels.
