I read about Barrelling Forward in the newspaper as a must read for 2017. I found the short story format really suited Crocker, and all but two of the short stories I found to be engrossing snippets of lives which were wholly reflective of the title of the book. I only gave it 3.5 stars because after a while I tired a bit of the indifference and self-absorption of many of the millennial characters, but overall I would recommend this book to anyone looking for well written short stories.
