Potentially a good story, but it starts out badly. You have to grit your teeth to continue reading, and this from a journalist! The writing gets better, but the story is pretty implausible considering the number of people of people involved.

Much stranger than I had been led to believe based on a review, but also very intriguing as it is a true story. First, you think it's about a family hiding from the mob, but then it becomes a tale of mental illness and family. I enjoyed it, and the story really sticks with you....

fascinating and incredible. Very well written - a page turner

This was a story of what mental health does to a family.

What a waste of reading! How do two ministers of the church decide it's okay to cheat. Ah yes - when one of them chooses to believe that her paramour has a double who lives with the real Mrs. and that the Mafia are hunting them. Surely one of their respective congregations could have noticed how nuts these people actually were. This is the stuff of nonsense.... totally a waste of time and money!

Other than the fact that the author worked for the CBC, why oh why was this book published? Some "secrets" are best kept as that. Why air dirty laundry?
