This book is okay, not the greatest but not the worst. This book is factual fiction. It shows what children of World War II in Berlin, Germany had to go through. They had to be careful of what they said to who, even if the person was supposed to be their best friend. You couldn't trust anyone, and many had to learn this the hard way. if you hid Jewish people away from the Nazis and Gestapo, then you were penalized with death or horrible torture. Most of the time, this threat kept people from protecting others. However, in this book, it was not the case.
