A collection of six spectacular Canadian trials: D'Arcy McGee 1868, Louis Riel 1885, Ernest Chenoweth (an 8 year old boy) 1900, Wilbert Coffin 1953, Steven Truscott 1959 and Peter Demeter 1974. Murders that involved greed, lust, revenge and more. The author practiced for 35 years as a trial lawyer and carefully presents the evidence from these six cases including some crucial quotes from the typed transcripts. As he shows the reader the sometimes very complex evidence he allows us to decide guilt or innocence while also offering his own opinion within the context of the criminal code of Canada.
Some fascinating complex cases very carefully explained. A very interesting book well worth reading.
