The e-book version needs some very thorough editing. There is more character description of the supporting cast than the hero and heroine. The story is more ridiculous than your average Victorian; I was actively rooting against the happy ending by halfway through the book. I would skip this one and move on to some of Lindsey's later books instead.
Sabrina's comments are witty;
but wouldn't someone so observant realize that Duncan had fallen for her a little sooner? I did enjoy the by play between the two grandfathers.
Mostly it was a good ole Johanna Lindsey historical with silliness and romance, but it just didn't focus on the hero and heroine and their interactions enough. I liked the side characters and thought they added to the story, but there was too much time spent on secondary characters, when I believe it should have been spent on the developing relationship between Sabrina and Duncan. Overall, a fun, lighthearted story!
