This book made me laugh-out-loud several times. Set in a poor neighbourhood of Dublin in the 60s, The Mammy is a widow with 7 children who has never had an organism. A very quick read, I enjoyed the story and the play on language. The screen version is called Agnes Browne and stars Anjelica Houston.
