Elle Quicke is besieged by problems: Nora, the church organist, has been receiving poison pen letters and is about to be evicted from the apartment she shared with her recently deceased father. Aunt Drusilla wants Elle to manage her apartments. Two men are vying for her attention. Her daughter, Diana, has lost her job and decided to move her family into Elle's house, which Diana feels entitles her to completely rearrange it. Nora's suicide, in addition to receiving poison pen letters herself, convinces Elle to take the letters to the police and is told there is nothing they can do about it. She decides to find out who is behind the letters in order to put a stop to them. This has some scary unintended consequences. How she manages to solve all these situations while encumbered by her baby grandson is a marvel. This is a really good Christian cozy mystery. I'm happy there is a series of these of which this is the second.
