As usual, Sue Henry places Jessie in a beautiful setting, in her skillful work with her dogs. This time, she needs to get her cabin rebuilt, when a skeleton appears, wearing a pendant that links it to old--and maybe ongoing--serial murders. When red roses appear on Jessie's doorstep, she begins to panic. The Alaskan setting somehow makes the murder investigation all the more riveting.
