A very great book for people interested in biology or studying it. This book is very informative, clearly explains the different organelles, cells, and cellular processes. It also looks at current research in cell biology. In my experience, I enjoyed and learned alot from this book.

A nice, short book that gives clear explanations of cell biology. Aimed towards children, it's still quite informative for adults. Worth reading.

The approach is typical of more recent books for children: factoidal and scattered. However, it is quite engaging and a good introduction to biology for pre- early teens.
A keen child will find that it raises more question than it answers and that it glosses too nonchalantly over many important details. Take advantage and complement with "Cells: Units of Life" by Barbara Tufty.
