George Webb is a former cop, turned private investigator, still coming to terms with The Nash Case. And, if truth be told, the women in his life.
Well-paced and inventively written, there's a mystery to the story even if I was a bit let down at the end.

Swift is a man of few words but he makes each one count. In his first novel since the Booker Prize winner, Last Orders, he offers us an electrifying tale of love, murder and redemption. A disgraced ex-cop running a detective agency finds himself falling in love with his client, and before he knows it he is embroiled in a murder case.
