I am commenting on the 5 disc set that the library just received 9/2017. It contains all the discs that were previously released and also has a bonus disc. It comes with DTS, Dolby Digital and Stereo sound. I recommend trying to watch these discs with a surround sound system.

This set is fantastic. The videos are great. But what is really great are the DTS Hi-res versions of the songs that are contained in the set. Some of the vocals are the best sounding versions I have ever heard. These are DVDs but look good on the 4K TV. The 3 surviving members at the time these were made are interviewed so you get a well-rounded perspective of what happened during the time of The Beatles.

Watching these videos with the songs with their remixed sound gave me new insight into just how good The Beatles and their releases were, even though I knew it before.

For a Beatles fan, this is a must-see. For other folks, I would say you will be enthralled at the in-depth story of the Fab Four. This is a brilliant documentary, aptly called an anthology. All three living (at the time) Beatles are interviewed, and John Lennon is present via recordings of interviews. It must have taken years in the making, and this is evident in the appearance and locations of the Beatles in their interviews from episode one to 8. I remember when the "miniseries" was first broadcast in the mid 1990s.

Riveting documentary, beautifully done. Consists of extensive interviews with the Beatles. I was vaguely interested in the group and watched this with fleeting interest. I was hooked within ten minutes. What a cultural monument this history is!! I loved this and now have a fondness for those associated with this Supergroup.
