This book was an amazing book. The book starts with a kid who is in a cooking class. He clearly isn't interested. But the teacher insists on getting the kids attention and makes the students write a food journal. Later on, he discusses the history and science of the food. The book focuses on the amazing and bizarre history of ordinary foods we eat today. Not only that, it also includes the science behind each food item and throughly explains everything. The writer clearly helped us learn to enjoy cooking and our ordinary foods.
