Why. What happened. This series started out with a studious, cautious, and level-headed girl with an underlying sense of bravery. Now we have a power-hungry, trying-to-be-the-tough-girl, dont-mess-with-me Nora whose 'bravery' a lot of times feels like stupidity. Then, there's Cheshvan. Literally the whole book is her stressing out and freaking because she has to lead a mysterious army into a mysterious war. I thought this would happen at the beginning of Cheshvan but no. It all happened in the last fifty or so pages. Seriously?! That's just annoying. It was like, stop whining about a war that doesn't feel like will occur. Patch was good, but he lost some of his ulterior, tough-guy feel. He felt a little more mushy and caring, which yes is good, but you don't just get rid of your whole personality in a month or two. Why did that have to happen with Scott? There didn't feel like much need for it. And Vee? Really, I feel like it was just too much too fast. And finally. Basso??? I guessed from book one that he would have more significance. But after that he was barely around, only appearing when Nora was in need of help or is pulled over. Seriously, how did no one, not even Patch, realize that he was there? I don't know how much I buy that. Oh well. Another series done. Another slight rant completed.
