It is a very good looking book with lots of DIY recommendations that may be inspiring to someone looking to decorate inexpensively. But, the photography and the styling creates a deceptive picture of "how easy" it is to decorate your home. For example, take a look at the kitchen pictures: who puts oranges in a wire basket on top of their shelves?!? It looks great, but for a book that's telling you to take in consideration the practicalities of how you live... The authors tend to contradict themselves by saying things like "make mistakes" in one section, but in the next telling you "it's important to choose the perfect couch or statement piece" and "choose your colour scheme carefully". What happened to the "beauty" of making mistakes? Tl;dr? Some interesting ideas. Take the book was a grain of salt.
