I really enjoyed this collection of short stories by Mary Higgins Clark. You could see a bit how her writing has changed over time. I especially enjoyed the title story and "A Crime of Passion", as well as the one with Alvirah Meehan. I think she and her husband are some of the most enjoyable mystery novel characters to read about, they are easy to relate to, down to earth, and unintentionally funny at times. The last story really should have been left out- a first person re-invention of "The Tell-Tale Heart" was not a good choice for subject material. All in all, a great set of mini-mysteries! : )
