Grafton hasn't lost the plot, she has complicated it mercilessly, with threads about a decade-old crime perpetrated by teenagers; a homeless freeloader who is imposing on dear Henry; and her cousin Anna who is having an affair with one of Kinsey's former lovers. All wander in and out of the book in a way that becomes not confusing but tedious. I'm happy we are at the end of the alphabet.
